How Meta Uses Engagement Scoring to Rank Your Ads

Paglalarawan

In this episode, Lucas and Luna dive into Meta's engagement scoring system—the hidden layer that decides which ads get shown, to whom, and how often. They break down how signals like comments, shares, and saves feed into an auction that balances relevance, predicted actions, and advertiser bids. Using the example of a mid-sized e-commerce brand, they explain why a low-engagement ad can still win when it targets the right niche, and why engagement scoring is shifting toward longer, more thoughtful interactions. They also touch on recent shifts in how Meta weights video views and link clicks, and what that means for small advertisers. Tune in for a practical look at one of the most misunderstood parts of Meta's ad system—and how to optimize for it without chasing vanity metrics.
