Offcuts: Men Are Ditching Deodorant, Michelle Obama's Empty Nest Truth & An Open Relationship Gone Wrong

Description

Hey Lifers! Welcome to Offcuts, your little snackkk to get you through to Monday! Poppy is almost one (how?!) and Lola has entered a bold new era of toddler rage, informing Laura in no uncertain terms that she will, in fact, "kill her dead." Then it's time for our regular check-in on what men are doing to themselves online: this week it's "pheromone maxing" (also known as: refusing to wear deodorant), and a new frontier of self-grooming madness. We are begging them to stop. We also unpack a viral clip of Michelle Obama on her podcast IMO, where she got refreshingly honest about how she actually feels now that her kids have left home. Spoiler: she's thriving, not grieving and it's sparked a very real debate about who's "Team Barack" (misses the kids desperately) and who's "Team Michelle" (has never felt more free). Then, a Reddit thread that reads like poetic justice: a woman opens up her relationship at her boyfriend's request, racks up hundreds of dating app matches… while he gets zero. Naturally, he's furious. We close out with the most petty, most brilliant piece of revenge we've heard in a long time… a woman who signed her best friend's cheating ex up to 500 email newsletters, and we've got some upgrade ideas of our own.
