A Prophet And The Influencer Who Got A Face Lift at 33

Description

Hey Lifers! Happy Wednesday! If anyone’s still sore from the Sydney Marathon, props to you we’re kicking off with why Laura will never be as good as you and a little throw back from veeeery early on in the pod (does anyone remember Britt’s marathon?) Plus we get into a random prophet "prediction" and unpacking the ultimate friendship litmus test that's been going around: Would you let your best friend babysit your kids? Then the big one. After a Byron Bay influencer with 245k followers went public about her "mini" facelift at 33, we get into the convo we can't stop thinking about. Is it better for women to be completely transparent about the work they've had done, even if that means normalising facelifts at an age that once felt unthinkable? Or does that transparency tip into promotion, quietly telling a younger, audience that this is just what upkeep looks like now? And underneath all of it, the real question, how much of this is actually a choice, and how much is just the exhausting cost of trying to feel okay in your own skin after years of comparison culture, motherhood, and a beauty standard that keeps moving the goalposts younger. Plus of course of Suck and Sweet (which includes a huge career highlight hosting global superstar Alex Warren!!!!)
