Susan Calman

Description

Matt Baker brings the Petcast caravan to Roots & Shoots in London to meet comedian, author and TV presenter Susan Calman, who shares life with six cats and a home designed around them, from scratching towers and a TARDIS cat house to a tiny matching cat sofa. Susan explains how each cat’s name comes from strong female role models, how she FaceTimes them while on tour, and how their companionship helps with anxiety and depression. She performs a favourite cat theme tune, talks about growing up with dogs, and reflects on grief after losing cats, including getting their paw prints tattooed. Our guest vet Nick offers tips on grooming, litter trays and scratching posts, before Susan meets ferrets from Vauxhall City Farm and takes on the Petcast quiz.
