Why Most Christians Misread Scripture: Hear as They Heard | Kingdom Conversations Episode 2

Paglalarawan

How should the Bible really be interpreted? Is there a difference between simply reading Scripture and understanding it the way Jesus and His first disciples intended? In Episode 2 of Kingdom Conversations, Dr. Dana Carson, joined by Pastor Rachelle Carson and Pastor Dana Carson II, explores one of the most important principles of biblical interpretation: Exegesis vs. Eisegesis. Drawing from the Second Temple Jewish context, this episode explains why the Kingdom of God cannot be understood apart from the historical, cultural, and theological world in which Jesus preached. Discover why exegesis allows Scripture to speak for itself, while eisegesis projects modern assumptions onto the biblical text, often leading to misunderstanding the Gospel, the Kingdom, and the mission of Jesus. If you've ever wondered: What is exegesis? What is eisegesis? How did Jesus' original audience understand the Kingdom? Why do so many Christians interpret the Bible differently? Why is Second Temple Judaism essential for understanding Scripture? ...this conversation provides biblical insight that will deepen your understanding of God's Kingdom.
