Operation “Epic Fury” is over, according to the United States. The Iran war has now been rebranded “Project Freedom” - though that too is on pause. So far, the $25 billion conflict has delivered plenty of fury but with little clarity. At home, frustration is growing among U.S. voters. Abroad, the situation remains volatile, with Iranian dissidents under pressure and shipping through the Strait of Hormuz still disrupted. President Trump says U.S. operations to free vessels in the Strait are on hold amid signs of a potential peace deal. But he’s also warned that if diplomacy fails, military action will resume “at a much higher level and intensity.” So where does this leave both sides? Piers Morgan is joined by military historian and commentator Victor Davis-Hanson, professor of political science and Golden Narrative Laureate at UAE University, Dr. Roy Casagranda, and Professor Mohammed Marandi from Tehran University to discuss. 00:00 Introduction 02:00 Professor Victor Davis-Hanson & Dr. Roy Casagranda join Piers for an Iran War debate 03:50 Victor Davis-Hanson on America’s military approach & Midterms 08:35 Dr. Roy Casagranda on Victor’s latest essay ‘The Global Ripples from the Iran War’ 12:40 Victor’s rebuttal to Dr. Roy 17:51 When does this war end and what does victory look like? 22:46 Iran’s military capability and America’s plan to tackle Iranian attacks 26:44 The question of regime change in Iran and changing geopolitics in the Middle East 41:03 Israel’s lack of transparency over possessing nuclear weapons 46:00 Freedom of religious expression and speech in the UAE vs Israel 47:35 'Mixed messages' on the ongoing Peace Talks 48:03 Professor Marandi joins Piers on latest developments in the US-Iran war 54:39 Has this war been a clear victory for America and is the Iranian Supreme Leader alive? 56:00 Piers and Marandi clash over ‘monstrous regimes’ 01:01:05 How does Professor Marandi have an internet connection when others in Iran do not? 01:02:50 Civilian casualties at the hands of the Iranian regime
