Salamat po! 💛 ⬇️⬇️⬇️ buymeacoffee.com/DemokrasyaTV "Showcase of Democracy" is the second part of one of my favourite documentary series on Martial Law Era Philippines (and Philippine history in general), "In Our Image: The United States and the Philippines". Based on the acclaimed book by the late Stanley Karnow, this part of the series discusses the close yet unequal relationship between the two countries in the first two decades of Philippine independence. There is a particular focus on America's role during the presidencies of Manuel Roxas, Ramon Magsaysay, and the early years of Ferdinand Marcos's administration.
