Joe joined the United States Marine Corps at just 17 years old and deployed to Ramadi, Iraq in 2007 during one of the most dangerous periods of the war. In this episode of Echoes Unfiltered, Joe talks about working directly with Iraqi locals during the Anbar Awakening, living in constant survival mode, and what it was really like trying to come home and reconnect with normal life afterward. But this episode goes far beyond deployment stories. Joe opens up about childhood trauma, breaking generational cycles, marriage, fatherhood, faith, emotional suppression, and the struggle many veterans face after the war ends. This is an honest conversation about survival, healing, and becoming the kind of man and father you never had growing up. Episode 45 premieres Saturday, May 23rd.
