Sunday Gospel Reflection 10 May 2026 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥: 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆? In today’s Gospel (Jn. 14:15-21), Jesus promises to send an Advocate—a Helper who will be with us always to guide, enlighten, and comfort us. This Holy Spirit, the Paraclete, serves as a constant presence of love in our lives. May we too become helpers and comforters to one another. Are you a source of comfort and strength to others, or are you a source of discomfort and hurts? This mission of comfort is most beautifully lived out in the heart of a mother. Just as the Spirit advocates for us, a mother is often our first earthly advocate, offering a lifetime of guidance and selfless love. Yet, how often are these modern-day "comforters" forgotten or taken for granted? A mother does not need much to be happy. She simply needs the love and assurance from her children. Have you called, visited, or hugged your mother lately? Do not wait for a "better" time. Better do it now, before it’s too late. Note: Fr. Jerry is currently on a pilgrimage.
