The GIPC has been tasked by H.E. John Dramani Mahama to champion bold reforms that will empower Ghanaian businesses to expand globally and thrive. The Centre’s CEO, Mr. Simon Madjie, disclosed this at a cocktail reception in Singapore, hosted by AB & David Africa (ABDA). Mr. Madjie mentioned that ABDA’s expansion into the Asian market not only promotes Ghana but also strengthens the country’s appeal as a destination for investment, helping drive Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Mr. David Ofosu-Dorte, Senior Partner at ABDA, highlighted the firm’s growing footprint across Africa; now in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya, and Mauritius; with plans to expand further. He noted that Africa is fast emerging as the future of global investment, and the new Singapore office will act as a hub for Asia-Africa engagements. In his remarks, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, reaffirmed Government’s commitment to supporting local businesses with global ambitions. He announced that President Mahama has directed the establishment of a physical diplomatic presence in Singapore and has tasked all 72 Ghanaian missions worldwide to attract FDI, boost trade, and facilitate Ghanaian enterprises abroad. #gipc #InvestGhana #singapore #africa
