Episode 407 | It Is Finished: What One Word from the Cross Changes About Your Identity

تفصیل

One word. Spoken once. And it changed everything for all of eternity. When Jesus bowed his head on the cross and said, "It is finished," he wasn't admitting defeat. He was shouting victory. In the original Greek, it is a single word — tetelestai — a business term meaning "all is completed, paid in full." Written at the bottom of a debt. Stamped across a record of what was owed. And at Calvary, Jesus wrote it across yours. In the first episode of our podcast series A Life Unleashed: Living Fully in the Purpose God Designed You For, Christine Caine takes us to John 19:28–30 and unpacks the three things that were completed at the cross and why all three have direct bearing on who you are and how you live right now. ✨ If you've ever asked questions like… ✅ I know Jesus died for sins, but does that actually cover everything I've done or had done to me? ✅ Why do I still feel shame and condemnation even after I've been forgiven? ✅ How do I stop feeling like I need to earn God's love or prove myself to Him? ✅ Can God really redeem a family history like mine — abuse, addiction, abandonment? ✅ I feel too far gone. Is there actually hope for someone like me? ✅ What does the finished work of the cross actually mean for my everyday life? ✅ How do I let what Jesus did become bigger than what people did to me? …then this is your episode. 💡 What you'll learn: → What tetelestai actually means — the Greek tense, the business term, and why "paid in full" is not just a metaphor but the precise legal and spiritual reality of what Jesus accomplished at the cross for you. → The three things that were finished at Calvary — the sacrificial system, sin, and shame — and why understanding each one dismantles the lie that you still have something to prove, earn, or hide. → How to draw a bloodline in the sand — how the finished work of Christ makes it possible for your history not to define your destiny, and what it looks like to let tetelestai be the word that rewrites your family tree.
