The Doubters' Creed: How to Be a Christian When You Don't Believe It's True

Can you still be a Christian if you don’t believe it’s true?Christianity, it has been said, is a religion of creeds. For millions of Christians, the faith begins with the confession “I believe.” So, what do you do if you want to follow Jesus, but you have doubts? What if the great creeds appear to you as stumbling blocks the size of a mountain with sheer cliffs of doubt that you fear you can never climb?InThe Doubters’ Creed, theologian Randal Rauser offers a guide up this “Mount Improbable” for sympathetic disbelievers and Christian doubters alike. Theologically rooted yet eminently practical, this book provides a path to participate in the life of Christian faith even when you falter on the very first words: “I believe.”Randal Rauser is Professor of Historical Theology at Taylor Seminary (Kairos University) where he has taught since 2003. He is the author of many books includingJesus Love CanaanitesandProgressive Christians Love Jesus Too,both published by 2 Cup Press. You can visit him online at randalrauser.com.Read more
