The Awakening: An Unofficial Minecraft Novel

The first book in the Children of The Forest series follows Sol as he is shunned by his village and exiled. He has no idea how to survive in the wild. All he knows of the world is his small village and his parents’ dirt block house. But he can’t return there, and there’s no one to take him in, and nowhere safe for him to hide. So he has to teach himself to survive by crafting and hunting, and cooking and building shelters.Danger lurks though. The mobs he encounters in the wild seem to be getting smarter, and more cunning. The farther he gets from home, the more dangerous they seem to be. He has to fight for his life, and he survives only because his peril unlocks mysterious magical powers that he never knew he had. But even afterward, every day is a fight for survival. All Sol can do is struggle, and hope, and keep running. This unofficial Minecraft novel is fast paced, and thrilling – 20,000 words long, it’s perfect for young and reluctant readers.Read more
