A Christian Understanding of the Jewish Holidays: A Handbook

This book is written for all Christians who enjoy exploring the Word of God. With an extensive background in Christian and Jewish study, Dr. Cohen takes you through a discovery of Jewish holidays, illustrating how Christianity, a child of Judaism, is better understood alongside its Jewish foundation. An accurate understanding of Christianity relies upon one's understanding of the Jewish culture and the Semitic theology of the Church's foundations. This includes, to a very great extent, the holidays and feasts of the Bible, which complement and enhance the Christian interpretation and understanding of Jesus and his mission. This valuable resource observes the New and Old Testaments in celebrating God's love. Dr. Cohen explains Jewish holidays, provides their biblical contexts, provides recipes for observing them, and inspires an appreciation for the deep connection of Christianity to its roots in Judaism. If you are seeking a resource with which to explore the biblical feasts in the context of Christianity's Jewish heritage, look no further than "A Christian Understanding of the Jewish Holidays" and begin to enjoy more meaning behind the scriptures.Read more
