In this video, I talk about the Buryats — one of the indigenous peoples of Russia who live near Lake Baikal. I explain who they are, where they come from, and why their history is so often told briefly or carefully. We speak about: - where the Buryats live -their origins and historical development -Buddhism, shamanism, and spiritual traditions -language and writing -traditional lifestyle, food, clothing, music, and festivals -famous Buryat cultural figures I speak in slow, clear Russian, so this video is suitable for A2–B1 learners, as well as for anyone interested in Russian culture and history. This topic is important to me personally, because I come from a region where many Buryats live, and I wanted to share this story with you. 📄 The full transcript is FREE You can find the link in the description and in the pinned comment. 💬 What surprised you most a
