Description

The political battle in Tamil Nadu has intensified ahead of the Dharapuram and Madurantakam by-elections, with TTV Dhinakaran making fresh remarks on the possibilities of an alliance involving TVK and AIADMK. Dhinakaran has said that the AIADMK camp had considered seeking Vijay’s support to make Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) Chief Minister if TVK could not form the government—while rejecting Vijay’s allegation that DMK and AIADMK had attempted to jointly form a government. At the same time, CM Vijay has accused the DMK and AIADMK of having a tacit understanding against TVK, particularly in the context of the current by-election campaign. EPS had earlier publicly challenged the DMK to join an alliance against TVK, adding another layer to the evolving political equations.
