Description
In this episode we discuss the many interventions by the United States in Central America and The Caribbean between 1898 and 1934. Cuba, Mexico, Haiti, The Dominican Republic, Panama, Honduras, and Nicaragua all were occupied by the US. Some for only a few months, others for over a decade. These small wars are known today collectively as "The Banana Wars", a term popularized by Lester D. Langley's book of the same name. A book which we both read, and refer to constantly throughout.
