Steve Blank: Why the Pentagon’s Innovation Ecosystem Is Broken

Description

Steve Blank, creator of the Lean Startup movement and co-founder of Hacking for Defense, argues that the Pentagon’s innovation ecosystem has grown in the wrong direction. In this clip from The Burn Bag, Blank says the Department of Defense now has hundreds of incubators and accelerators — but most aren’t connected to real acquisition dollars or deployment pathways. He explains why this “feel-good” model fails startups and how the system must evolve to deliver technologies that actually reach the warfighter. 🎧 Watch the full episode: The Pentagon Playbook with Steve Blank & Pete Newell 👉 Spotify: https://bit.ly/4nrOMmt 👉 Apple: https://bit.ly/3IuuEB3 #SteveBlank #DefenseInnovation #Pentagon #Startups #NationalSecurity #BurnBagPodcast #Acquisition
