Protests Rock APC Secretariat in Abuja Over Alleged Primary Election Manipulation

Protests erupted at the APC national secretariat in Abuja as party loyalists and stakeholders from Delta State voiced their concerns over the upcoming primaries, demanding a fair and transparent election process. The protesters have accused Nicholas Mutu, a serving member of the House of Representatives, of manipulating the party’s primary elections for years to secure his seat. Despite representing the Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency for nearly 28 years, the protesters claim there has been little to no progress or development in the constituency. As the primaries approach on May 18, 2026, tensions continue to rise, with calls for greater accountability.
