Description

In today’s episode, Draymond Green and Baron Davis are joined by Penny Hardaway, a four-time NBA All-Star, Olympic gold medalist, and head coach at the University of Memphis. Penny tells them about playing against Michael Jordan when he first came out of retirement for the Chicago Bulls, his top five NBA point guards, and how he found out Shaquille O'Neal was leaving the Orlando Magic. They compare the 1996 Olympic team to the legendary 1992 Dream Team, debate the best ball handlers in the league, and break down how Steph Curry has impacted the NBA during the Golden State Warriors dynasty. Penny says he aims to coach in the NBA, particularly with Memphis and hopes to leave a lasting legacy. Finally, they talk about his alter-ego, Lil Penny, played by Chris Rock. 0:00:00 Start 0:08:46 NBA Draft workout w/ Warriors & Magic 0:12:23 Facing Michael Jordan 0:15:15 GOAT Conversation 0:19:10 Penny’s Signature Move 0:24:17 1996 Olympic Team 0:27:00 Coaching NIL Era 0:37:54 Shaq Leaving the Magic 0:41:05 Biggest What if 0:45:30 Baron vs Penny 0:48:17 Magic Jersey Retired 0:50:12 Is Steph Curry a Point Guard? 0:56:20 Current Orlando Magic Upside 1:03:50 Coaching in the NBA in the Future 1:06:30 1-cent logo 1:08:16 Creation of Lil Penny 1:09:59 Top 5 Point Guards Ever Follow The Draymond Green Show on social media: https://www.instagram.com/draymondshow https://x.com/DraymondShow https://www.facebook.com/people/Draymond-Green-Show/61556083929818 https://www.tiktok.com/@draymondgreenshow Learn more about The Volume: https://www.thevolume.com #draymondgreen #nba #goldenstatewarriors #warriors #sports #basketball
