Madonna Meets GymSkin

Description

One viral dance, one classic song, and one very unexpected invitation led to one of the most entertaining music stories of the year. Madonna's 1985 hit "Into the Groove" found a whole new audience after GymSkin's "follow that tune" videos exploded across TikTok, helping send the song back into the UK Top 20 four decades after its original release. What started as a spontaneous dance in the street eventually brought GymSkin face-to-face with the Queen of Pop herself, culminating in a surreal meeting at Madonna's London home, complete with dancing on desks, playful flirting, and a reminder that great music never really goes out of style. From the unlikely rise of the trend to the enduring appeal of "Into the Groove" and Madonna's remarkable ability to stay at the centre of pop culture conversations, it's a story about internet fame, musical longevity, and the strange ways a song can connect people across generations.
