I Was Made By God. Rudo Kayombo on 25 Years of Faith and Leadership

Description

She ran someone else's mission for twenty five years. Then one morning in October, she signed her own name. This is Rudo Kayombo, Part 1, in conversation with Batje Chibafa. Rudo led World Vision Zimbabwe from 300 staff and 15 million dollars to 1,300 staff and 100 million. She was National Director of World Vision Uganda. She was Executive Director Africa at ONE Campaign. She ran the Southern Africa region during World Vision's first ever Category Three disaster response. She was COO at Food for the Hungry across 18 countries. Six months ago she walked away from being Africa Vice President at Habitat for Humanity to build Fahari Kubwinya Splendour. In Part 1 we walk through the formation. The lawyer years. UNHCR. The Musasa Project. Saying yes in tears to a job she was not qualified for. Why she keeps repeating the words 'send me people.' And the advice she would give the woman she was at thirty. Part 2 publishes Tuesday May 19 at 7am EST. Subscribe and turn on the bell so you do not miss it.
