I take you back to one of my earliest startup experiences, where I was a social media manager, sitting in rooms where million-dollar conversations were happening around me. Conversations I didn’t fully understand yet, but couldn’t ignore. Hearing someone talk about raising $15 million for an idea that hadn’t even been executed yet shifted something in me. But the real turning point wasn’t just learning what venture capital was – it was noticing the gap. Realizing that I was asking questions around sustainability, risk, and long-term thinking that weren’t always being addressed by the people writing the checks.
