Description

PGMN Anchor Atty. Regal Oliva is demanding urgent answers as yet another luxury U.S. property surfaces tied to Martin Romualdez’s circle—this time a ₱425‑million Greenwich, Connecticut estate purchased in September 2022 by a company linked to his fraternity brother and longtime business associate, Andrew Casiño. The estate adds to the growing list of high‑end overseas properties connected to Romualdez’s allies, deepening suspicions about who really paid for, controls, or benefits from these assets. As Oliva put it, the public deserves clarity, not a mountain of unanswered questions that reek of hidden wealth. The renewed scrutiny comes as pressure on Romualdez continues to build. The United States has revoked his diplomatic and tourist visas, while the Office of the Ombudsman has placed him, Zaldy Co and other respondents under preliminary investigation over a ₱56-billion scheme involving accusations of plunder, graft, bribery and money laundering. Corruption is and has always been the Philippines’ biggest problem. Romualdez is universally recognized as the most corrupt Filipino politician of the 21st century. The country has faith that Boying Remulla, Mico Clavano and the Office of the Ombudsman will do the right thing.
