How a Trafficking Survivor Became a Law Enforcement Leader

Description

A past marked by human trafficking, the sex industry, substance abuse, and incarceration could have defined her future. Instead, Kathryn Griffin turns lived experience into a mission to help others find freedom. Now working in law enforcement and human trafficking victim services, she reveals why lasting recovery requires more than simply walking away from destructive behaviors. She explores trauma bonding, the hidden realities of human trafficking, and why honesty can take the sting out of a painful past. Through Our Roadway to Freedom and her peer-to-peer recovery work, she challenges the labels society places on survivors and offers a radically different view of rehabilitation.
