David prayed those words while he was running for his life, with no army around him and no palace walls to hide behind. And the same God who became a shield for David on his worst morning wants to surround your life today on every side. In this guided morning prayer and devotional you will be reminded that God does not merely hand you a shield, He Himself becomes the shield around you, the lifter of your bowed-down head, and the glory who answers the moment you cry out. In this morning devotional you will be encouraged by: - How the Lord surrounds the righteous with favor as with a shield, covering you on every side (Psalm 5 verse 12) - How God lifts the head that shame and disappointment have pushed down, the way He raised Joseph from the prison to the palace (Psalm 27 verse 6) - How He turns mourning into dancing and answers you in the day you call on Him (Psalm 30 verse 11) - How the God who shut the lions' mouths for Daniel still answers His own when they cry out to Him (Psalm 3 verse 4) Stay until the end and pray this blessed prayer with me in the mighty name of Jesus. Open your heart and receive protection over your life, the lifting of your head, peace for your anxious mind, and the assurance that you are surrounded by a God who never leaves your side. If this prayer blessed you, type Amen in the comments and share it with someone who needs to be reminded that God is the shield
