Former Paratrooper reacts to the terror attack

Description

I’ve seen situations like this before—different uniform, different country, same chaos. What people don’t understand is how fast these moments unfold. One second it’s control, the next it’s unpredictable. Everyone watching from the outside sees a still image… but that’s not reality. Reality is noise, adrenaline, decisions made in fractions of a second. My reaction? It’s not about jumping on a bandwagon or shouting from the sidelines. It’s about asking the right questions. What led to this point? What was the threat? What options were available in that moment? Because unless you’ve been in situations where things can turn violent in a heartbeat, it’s easy to judge with the comfort of hindsight. That doesn’t mean everything is right. It means context matters. I’ve worked in environments where control isn’t pretty—it’s messy, fast, and sometimes uncomfortable to watch. But there’s always a line. And that line needs to be understood, not ignored. For me, it’s simple—don’t rush to outrage, don’t ignore accountability. Look at the full picture.
