Episode 33: “I Don’t Want Children”

Description

Episode 33 is here, and we recorded this one under the sun, so the gist came out hotter 🌞We get into the stigma around vasectomies in African homes, the pressure of family planning, and why “purity culture” makes honest conversations about sex and responsibility feel like a crime. Is it selfish to choose a child-free life, or are people just finally being realistic about the world we live in?We also switch lanes into the "gist" of the week, starting with the viral "shouting guy" video and our collective frustration with the Nigerian airport experience: broken conveyor belts at MMIA, aggressive begging culture, those random “step aside” searches, and even a Nollywood actress with premium diva energy. We also tackle a listener dilemma: do you stay in a high-paying hybrid job in Nigeria that’s finally taking off, or risk it all for school and PR in Canada?Join the conversation using #IGGFY and #IGetGistForYou, and follow us on Instagram and X @igetgistforyou.Hosts: @KpFawehinmi @uzxrmaSupport the pod: we’re on the road to 100 episodes and 10k subscribers.
