Description

Join us for an electrifying Episode 069 of Deeper Sounds of Nairobi as we soar across the globe to New York City, where I'll be performing as part of my highly anticipated US tour this June! This episode is packed with soulful beats, vibrant rhythms, and the finest selections in Afro-house, amapiano, and deep house, curated to set the stage for an unforgettable night in the Big Apple. From Skye Wanda’s captivating collaboration with Drega on Kila Kitu to the infectious energy of Shallipopi’s Laho (Ndloh Jnr's Touch), this tracklist is a journey through the heart of African dance music. Expect pulsating grooves from heavyweights like Kelvin Momo, Stixx, and Babalwa M, alongside fresh remixes and original mixes from the likes of DJ Maphorisa, FNX Omar, and Dustinho. *We’re thrilled to spotlight two Kenyan gems in this episode: Tina Ardor’s soulful collaboration with Pippi Ciez on Wendo (Original Mix), bringing Nairobi’s spirit to the global stage, and ZIDDO’s Koda, a powerful track released by Nairobi’s own Ewaso Records, named after the iconic KODA music venue that’s redefining the city’s electronic music scene.* Classics like Yamore by Salif Keita and Cesaria Evora (FNX Omar Extended Remix) and high-energy bangers like Zula Zula by Springle and Zee Nxumalo keep the party ignited. Tune in, turn up, and let the sounds of Nairobi meet the streets of NYC in this unmissable episode. Catch me live in June, and keep vibing with Deeper Sounds of Nairobi!
