In 2023, China's economic growth slows down. Population problems have become the focus of attention at home and abroad. In the 1980s, reform and opening up began. China's huge population attracted major foreign companies to build factories. Products "Made in China" are distributed in every corner of the world. The economy is growing rapidly and people have money in their pockets. Foreign companies are again trying to gain a foothold in the Chinese market. In 1979, China implemented the one-child policy, limiting each family to a maximum of one child. Over the next three decades, population growth slowed. A big problem has emerged, that is, the aging of the population. The proportion of the elderly is increasing, putting pressure on the country's economy and affecting the lives of young people. Many young people marry late. Some refuse to get married. China's population problem will face greater challenges in the future. ◉ Read transcripts for free ◉ Become a Patron ◉ Our new merch store! ◉ Find us on YouTube ◉ We are on LinkedIn ◉ We are on Facebook ◉ Find a Chinese teacher on italki and receive $10 ◉ One-time Donate
