carter gregory: fourth strike, plot twist and making it in music - ep. 15

Description

Carter’s back for part two! We talk about discovering artists then vs. now, the future of streaming, and why the real power behind what becomes viral is in your hands. Carter also opens up about the politics of music, imposter syndrome, seeing artists finally get their flowers, and what it actually takes to build talent instead of just finding it. Plus the creation of his own label Plot Twist Records and its debut launch “Fourth Strike.” It's a conversation about trusting your taste, betting on yourself, and what it looks like when you’re brave to go after the life you want. 0:00 Carter Pt. 2 Begins0:58 Finding Talent vs. Building Artists4:20 Learning to Trust Your Taste in Music6:37 Dealing with Imposter Syndrome8:54 The Sacrifices Behind Success11:27 Actually Living the Dream16:10 The Future of Music Discovery18:20 Why the Audience Has the Power19:49 The Story Behind “Fourth Strike”25:26 Building Plot Twist Records26:40 Behind Set List Interviews Baddie 2 Baddie Phoneline: Need advice only a baddie can give?
