Building local can help scale Africa’s technology

Description

What happens when Africa stops being just a consumer of technology and starts building for itself? Last year at Moonshot, Oremeyi Akah, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Interswitch Group, Bamidele Obende, Divisional Head, Business Growth at Cybervergent inc, and Chai Gang, Deputy Director, Payments Systems at the CBN, spoke about building and scaling technology that responds to Africa's realities, the role of collaboration in advancing homegrown solutions, and what it takes to develop the technologies the continent needs. These are the conversations Moonshot creates space for, bringing together the people building, funding, regulating and shaping what comes next for Africa. At Moonshot 2026, we're continuing those conversations around what it takes to build for a new world. Get your tickets at http://moonshot.techcabal.com
