When Disaster Strikes Back Home: Dealing with Crisis While Living Abroad

Описание

What do you do when disaster strikes — and you’re thousands of miles away? Last week, there was a devastating fire at my daughter Maya’s apartment complex in Massachusetts. She — along with more than 230 students — lost everything and are now displaced. She’s safe, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful. But as a mother living abroad, receiving that news shook me to my core. This experience reminded me how fragile life can be, how grounding tools help us move through fear, and how community holds us up when everything else feels uncertain. In this live, I’m sharing: 💔 What happened and how Maya is doing now 🌍 The emotional reality of being far from loved ones during a crisis 🤝 The incredible outpouring of love and support from our Blaxit Global community 🙏 Lessons on dealing with what’s out of your control while living abroad Whether you’re an expat, parent, or simply someone learning to find calm in chaos, this conversation is for you.
