Join MEE's live-streamed book talk as Sean Mathews, correspondent and author of The New Byzantines: The Rise of Greece and Return of the Near East, for a timely discussion on the shifting politics of the eastern Mediterranean and Middle East. Travelling across Egypt, Palestine, Israel, Turkey and Greece’s borderlands, Mathews explores a region in flux - from Nato’s future and the rise of middle powers, to the fate of Christianity in the Holy Land and Greece’s growing geopolitical role.
