Walking Into What’s Next: Movement, Meaning & Reinvention After 60 What if one of the most powerful tools for brain health, emotional resilience, and reinvention after 60 isn’t a supplement or a prescription—but simply walking? In this episode of Sexy in Your 60s, I sit down with Gail Perry, also known as Gail Perry Treks, to explore how movement can become a gateway into what’s next. Gail’s story isn’t about chasing reinvention—it’s about listening for it. Through global trails, hut-to-hut hikes, and the creation of her Walks of the World page-a-day calendar, she followed curiosity and found herself stepping into a new chapter, including becoming a hiking guide at age 65. We ground our conversation in science—walking and brain health, the hippocampus, dementia risk, and emotional regulation—and then move into lived experience: how walking clears mental fog, regulates the nervous system, and helps us reconnect with ourselves beyond roles, expectations, and people-pleasing. This is a conversation about movement, meaning, and courage—and about trusting that sometimes the path forward reveals itself one step at a time. If you’re navigating life after 60 and wondering what’s next, this episode is an invitation to lace up your shoes, step outside, and begin. 🔗 Connect with Gail Perry Website: https://gailperrytreks.com Instagram: @gailperrytreks Email: gailperrytreks@gmail.com 📅 Walks of the World Calendar Explore the 2026 Walks of the World page-a-day calendar, featuring inspiring trails from around the globe.
