This video is at the center of a devastating case that killed 12 schoolchildren and has reignited a national crisis over road safety and scholar transport. The footage, from the involved truck's dashboard camera, captures the school minibus taxi driving in the wrong lane on the R553 road near Fan-der-bil Park. Witnesses and authorities state other drivers moved over to give the taxi driver a chance to correct his course, but the opportunity was missed. The video shows both vehicles attempting last-second maneuvers before the fatal impact. In this video, we analyze the distressing dashcam footage and the critical facts that emerged after the crash. Premier Panyaza Lesufi confirmed the 22-year-old taxi driver was operating with an expired Professional Driving Permit (PDP), which had lapsed in November of the previous year. The driver has been arrested and is facing 12 counts of culpable homicide, along with charges of reckless and negligent driving. #SouthAfrica #RoadSafety #DashcamFootage #TaxiCrash #ScholarTransport #MinibusTaxi #R553Crash #FanderbilPark #PanyazaLesufi #CulpableHomicide #ProfessionalDrivingPermit #PDP #RoadAccident #TruckAccident #HeadOnCollision #SouthAfricaNews #TrafficSafety #VehicleRoadworthiness #News24 #TimesLive #AAA #AutomobileAssociation
