Toxic Positivity Doesn't Heal You ( It Pushes the Problem Deeper)

Описание

Affirmations. Gratitude journals. “Just choose to be happy.” What if the reason those tools aren’t working… is because they were never designed to?In this episode of Decoded, Bizzie Gold dismantles the culture of toxic positivity and exposes why override messages—affirmations, manifestation language, forced optimism—don’t rewire the subconscious. They mask it. And when you mask distorted childhood wiring instead of confronting it, you don’t heal. You dissociate. This episode breaks down:Why affirmations often strengthen self-deceptionHow toxic positivity creates emotional gaslightingThe neurological difference between override and rewiringWhy journaling can reinforce victim loops (for certain brain pattern types)How shame wiring gets amplified by “good vibes only” cultureWhy chasing happiness keeps you dysregulatedIf you’ve been “doing the work” but still feel stuck, reactive, ashamed, or exhausted, this conversation explains why. Real rewiring requires opposition—not avoidance. Growth is not aesthetic. It’s disruptive.Watch the full episode and decide whether you’re healing—or bypassing.🔗 Want to learn about Peptide Dosing & Therapeutic Strategies?
