Dwarf Calina papaya farming is quickly becoming one of the most talked about fruit ventures in Kenya, but how profitable is it really? In this episode, we travel to Tharaka Nithi County to speak with a Calina papaya expert who breaks down everything farmers need to know before planting. From land preparation and spacing to irrigation, crop management, and harvesting cycles, this is a practical, numbers-driven conversation. We go beyond the excitement and look at the actual costs of starting a Dwarf Calina papaya farm, the expected yields per tree and per acre, market access and price fluctuations, the common mistakes farmers make, and what you must do to achieve maximum profits. Many farmers enter agriculture without proper planning and end up frustrated. This discussion focuses on treating farming as a business, understanding your input costs, securing your market, and managing the crop correctly. If you own land, are thinking about investing in fruit farming, or want to diversify your income, this breakdown will help you make an informed decision. Agriculture can work, but only with the right information. Watch, learn, and decide wisely. #LNN #LynnNgugiNetwork
