Описание

Forgetting a name or losing your keys feels like a small failure, but what if your forgetfulness is actually one of the most important things your brain does? In this video, I explore the surprising science of forgetting through the story of a woman who remembers everything, the psychologist studying why most of us don't, and the research showing that a healthy memory needs to lose details, not just keep them. ____ Hidden Brain, hosted by me, Shankar Vedantam, is finally on YouTube! Like my podcast, this new video series will explore the unconscious patterns driving human behavior, our choices, and our relationships. ____ FIND HIDDEN BRAIN ONLINE Website: https://www.hiddenbrain.org/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hiddenbrain/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/HiddenBrain/ Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/hiddenbrain.bsky.social X: https://x.com/HiddenBrain LISTEN TO HIDDEN BRAIN ON YOUR FAVORITE PODCAST APP Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/hidden-brain/id1028908750 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/20Gf4IAauFrfj7RBkjcWxh hiddenbrain.org: Patreon/Hidden Brain+: https://www.patreon.com/HiddenBrain https://www.hiddenbrain.org/
