Sing My Tongue the Savior’s Glory | Pange Lingua English Chant | Holy Thursday | Choir w/Lyrics

Описание

“Sing My Tongue the Savior’s Glory” is a solemn chant based on the ancient Latin Pange Lingua, traditionally attributed to St. Thomas Aquinas, here sung in the classic English translation by John Mason Neale. This powerful text invites us to contemplate the mystery of Christ’s Passion and the institution of the Eucharist, tracing the story of our salvation from the Incarnation to the Cross and the altar, and calling our tongues, hearts, and lives to proclaim the Savior’s glory. Whether for Holy Thursday, Eucharistic adoration, or quiet personal prayer, this hymn draws us into deeper adoration of the Crucified and Risen Lord who gives Himself to us as living Bread from heaven. Recorded live by the Sunday 7pm Choir at SFDS Parish, Ajax ON Canada. Thanks for listening and God bless! 🙏🏼 Song Title: Sing My Tongue the Savior’s Glory Artist(s): Text: based on Pange Lingua gloriosi, attributed to St. Thomas Aquinas; English translation by John Mason Neale Publisher: Public Domain 1 Sing, my tongue, the Savior's glory: Tell his triumph far and wide; Tell aloud the famous story Of his body crucified; How upon the cross a victim, Vanquishing in death, he died. 2 Faithful cross, O tree all beauteous! Tree all peerless and divine, Not a grove on earth can show us Such a flow'r and leaf as thine. Sweet the nails, and sweet the wood, Laden with so sweet a load! 3 Eating of the tree forbidden, Humans sank in Satan's snare, When our pitying Creator Did this second tree prepare; Destined, many ages later, That first evil to repair. 4 Blessing, honor everlasting, To the immortal Deity; To the Father, Son, and Spirit, Equal praises ever be; Glory through the earth and heaven, Trinity in Unity. Amen. #SingMyTongueTheSaviorsGlory #PangeLingua #CatholicHymn #CatholicChoir #Sunday7pmChoir #HolyThursday #EucharisticHymn #LiturgicalMusic #WorshipMusic #Adoration Thanks for watching the video Sing My Tongue the Savior’s Glory | Pange Lingua | Holy Thursday Hymn | Catholic Choir w/Lyrics
