Religious Pluralism and Christian Jewish Dialogue | The Bulletin

Описание

In this episode of The Bulletin, Rabbi Michael Holzman and Russell Moore discuss Christian Jewish dialogue, religious pluralism, and the future of interfaith coexistence in an era of political and cultural polarization. The conversation begins with reactions to the viral image of an IDF soldier damaging a Jesus statue in Southern Lebanon, before expanding into a broader discussion of Jewish Christian relations, Middle East peace, and the role of theology and pluralism in democratic societies. Rabbi Holzman reflects on the importance of universal human dignity, local interfaith dialogue, and resisting “dominionist” visions that separate neighbors rather than cultivate shared civic life. Russell Moore explores how pluralism and democracy depend on persuasion, conscience, and relationship rather than political domination. Together, the panel discusses faith and politics, public theology, faith and culture, and what American democracy and religion can learn from both interfaith cooperation and conflict abroad.
