I take a closer look at the Philippines shot selection vs Angola in the FIBA World Cup 2019. Gilas Pilipinas went 10-46 from 3 against Angola. In this video, I inspect why the Philippines shot so poorly. https://www.ericmenk.com https://www.facebook.com/EMenk30 In their 3rd game of the FIBA World Cup 2019, Gilas Pilipinas lost to Angola 84-81 in overtime. Despite shooting poorly from the 3-point line in their first 2 games, the Philippines decided to attempt 46 3-point attempts vs Angola. While late 3-point shots brought the Philippines back to force overtime, one has to question if shooting so many 3-point attempts was a wise strategy? In this video I explain the importance of shot selection in determining the outcome of a basketball game. The Philippines went 10-46 from 3 vs Angola. I use this game as an example of how a team can improve their shot selection to make their offense more efficient.
