This is such a special episode and a big personal milestone for me (your host) Mariko because this is the first time I fully open-up and share all the details of my own rescue story where everything truly started.. Looking back on everything that was shared in this episode i’m just so grateful Jesus didn’t leave me where I was at before. Despite having such a hardened heart towards Him He still met me at my lowest and chose to rescue me.A girl who once drowned in her own thoughts & brokenness is finally at peace. A body that was once at it’s breaking point has been restored. A long-term relationship that wasn’t honoring to the Lord now walks & reflects the true meaning of love in marriage. The way I live my life right now, everything I have and the woman I am today are all just the fruit of encountering Jesus Christ. I now get to live this second-chance at life with purpose and joy all thanks to a God who humbly came down as a human to sacrifice His life in exchange for ours. Knowing the depth of what He did for me completely changed the trajectory of my life.This is the very first diary entry of The Rescue Diaries.
