The Democratic Republic of Congo is a mineral-rich nation, but for the past several years this mineral-rich paradise has been facing atrocities from several rebel groups, which date back to the independence of the country from The Belgians. The Democratic Republic of Congo is not a small country, it is the second largest country in Africa which makes it difficult for the government as well as the peacekeeping forces to maintain peace in the country, especially in its eastern provinces like Goma, Ituri, North and South Kivu. The Congolese people have been facing atrocities of such rebel groups in the country from past many years now, which needs a settlement in this modern era.
