How One Man Freed Jerusalem after it Was Lost for a Century | The Real Story of Saladin

Описание

In Epiosde 11, Shaykh Yasir Qadhi talks about the story of the reconquest of Jerusalem. For almost 100 years, Jerusalem was lost. In 1099, the Crusaders took the city in one of the bloodiest massacres in history. Men, women, and children were slaughtered. The streets ran with blood. The Muslim world was fractured, leaderless, and unable to respond. Then everything changed. From the chaos of division, a leader emerged. A man who did not rush. Who waited. Who unified. Who prepared for a moment most thought would never come. His name was Saladin. This is the story of how Jerusalem was taken back in 1187. Not just through strength, but through patience, strategy, and a vision that spanned decades. From the rise of the Zengid movement, to the fall of the Fatimid Caliphate, to the decisive Battle of Hattin, this was not a sudden victory. It was the result of years of sacrifice, discipline, and unity across the Muslim world. But what happened next is what shocked the world. After defeating the Crusader armies and entering Jerusalem, Saladin stood at a crossroads. History had already shown what conquerors do to this city. Revenge would have been expected. Even justified in the eyes of many. But what he chose instead became his legacy. This video breaks down the full story of the liberation of Jerusalem, the events that led up to it, and the decision that made Saladin one of the most respected figures in history, even among his enemies.
