How Facebook Ads Learn From Your Competitors

Описание

We break down Meta’s competitive targeting features, specifically the Lookalike Audience from competitors and the Advantage+ placement strategy. Lucas explains how to identify direct rivals in your vertical and build custom audiences based on their followers or engagers. Luna challenges whether this approach leads to cheap clicks or actual conversions, citing a case where retargeting engaged users from a rival brand’s viral post yielded higher ROAS than broad interest targeting. We discuss the mechanics of audience overlap, how to exclude existing customers to avoid wasting budget, and why creative testing remains the primary driver of success even when using sophisticated competitor signals.
