How a Therapist Turned Telehealth Into Greater Access

When the world shut down, therapist and entrepreneur Brandi Davis saw more than a temporary shift to Zoom. She saw an opportunity to rethink who could access therapy and how. As founder of Backpocket Counseling Counseling Services, she builds a telehealth therapy practice around convenience, privacy, and one essential belief: the right therapist-client match matters. Brandi explores why readiness, not location, drives meaningful progress, how COVID accelerated a lasting change in mental health care, and why she remains cautious about AI entering deeply personal conversations. She also reveals why staying hands-on with clients shapes her leadership and how she is taking her message beyond the therapy room.
