Fundamentals of the Faith | The Bible & Why It Matters

Описание

In this session of Fundamentals of the Faith, we explore the doctrine of Scripture and why the Bible stands at the center of the Christian life. Why does doctrine matter? Why do we believe the Bible is authoritative? How do we know which books belong in the Bible? And what does it mean to say Scripture is inspired, inerrant, infallible, clear, necessary, and sufficient? From the Law, Prophets, and Writings referenced by Jesus in Gospel of Luke 24:44, to the affirmation that “All Scripture is God-breathed” in Second Timothy 3:16, this class walks through: • Why sound doctrine matters • The authority of the Old and New Testaments • How the biblical canon was recognized • The difference between inspiration, inerrancy, and infallibility • Why Scripture is clear, necessary, and sufficient for life and godliness The goal is not just head knowledge, but a deeper love for God’s Word and greater confidence in its truth. If you’ve ever wondered whether the Bible can truly be trusted, or why Christians hold it as the final authority, this session will help you think carefully and faithfully.
