Jannah is not a rigid list of rewards, it is “whatever you desire.” Emotional states will not be the same as they are in this world. Anxiety, possessiveness and resentment will be removed. It speaks to emotional fulfilment, not just physical pleasure. And then comes something deeper. The Surah is not only describing the future. It is quietly challenging the present. Guarding the gaze.
