Ano Ang Kahulugan ng Yahweh Nissi? - Yahweh - Names of God Series- Exodus 17:15

365 Daily Devotions: Seminary Edition 💁🏻 Concept: Yahweh Nissi “Yahweh Nissi” means “The Lord is My Banner” (Exodus 17:15). Moses proclaimed this after Israel’s victory over the Amalekites, when God gave triumph as Moses raised his hands. In battle, a banner signified protection, presence, and victory—Yahweh Himself is that banner for His people. This points to Christ, the true banner “lifted up” on the cross (John 12:32), securing victory over sin, death, and Satan. We fight not for victory but from Christ’s ultimate victory. 📖 Bible Readings: Exodus 17:11–15 (Genesis 36:12; Exodus 17:8-16; Deuteronomy 25:17-19; 1 Samuel 15:1-35; 1 Samuel 30:1-20; Esther 3:1; Romans 8:34; Galatians 5:17; Ephesians 6:10-18; Hebrews 7:25; Psalm 20:5; Isaiah 11:10; John 12:32; 1 Corinthians 15:57) 👨🏻‍💻 Teachings: 1. We fight from victory not for victory. 2. Our battle cry is Soli Deo Gloria! 3. Nissi points to the cross of Christ. 💪🏼 Applications: 1. Fight under the banner of Christ. 2. Face your Amalekites with courage. 3. Focus on the Lord—our Yahweh Nissi. 🎙Discussion: How can we practically live a victorious Christian life? Alternative questions: 1. You are my rallying point, my strength, my banner, and my victory. Thank You that in Christ, the banner of salvation has been lifted up for the world to see. Since Jesus is victorious, I will never accept defeat. I will fight every battle under the banner of Christ. Help me face my “Amalekites” with courage and enable me to focus on the Lord—for He is my victory. I pray that You will make me productive today. Give me success in all I do. That in all things God may be glorified. In Jesus’ name, amen.
